Character Artist Advice: Learn to push add Material Definition. It's important to have variation and separate exposed metal, painted metal, nylon, plastic, cotton, fabric folds, leather, rubber glass, denim, and brass - to elevate the visuals. A zBrush sculpt is not going to carry the whole model.

Quick social media headsup from the olden days: do not subscribe to any blocklists of which you do not -absolutely- know and trust the creator. A lot of trolls will make genuine looking blocklists, and then slowly start adding good people to them. Always verify account names & handles!

This is a bad time to be laid off. Most companies won't realistically be hiring until early January, but if you hear of anything please let me know. I just want to make great games that occasionally make people cry 🥲

So, bad news. The studio I just joined, Thought Pennies, has run into some major trouble and laid off most of the staff. That includes me! I am laid off again! Truly, very bad luck. I was only there two weeks before stuff went down.
