Namek was still recovering from an environmental disaster when we first saw it. Their warrior class is tough as Nails too, so it's just not worth conquering Namek until the Dragon Balls tipped that scale.

With the way his stuff works, it'll do the boycotting for us.

So here's the cure for every one of those words: Super Mario Bros. (1993)

This sounds like something someone says after waking up from dreams heavily motivated by The Greasiest Cheeseburger.

I think The Emperor tried that, when he got scammed by those fake tailors?

His shirts did not sell as well as the fake tailors' "shirts", not sure why.

...oh! This actually is a real show!

Huh! Fascinating.

I've been freezing my bread solely because it went bad that one time 15+ years ago and I'll be damned if it happens again.

Beyond the Black Rainbow. Very little plot, slower than a pitch drop, full to dripping with atmosphere and imagery. Has been incorrectly assumed to be an influence on Stranger Things. Make sure to only watch it while sober.
a black and white photo of a person 's face with a symbol on it
Alt: "a black and white photo of a person 's face with a symbol on it" is the suggested alt text, and it is indeed a high-contrast black-and-white image. However, this man has in fact just dropped a SUPERHUMAN amount of LSD or something similar, and is now dunking himself in a vat of viscous something to heighten the effect, perhaps in a manner analogous to a sensory deprivation tank. (It's not stated if the liquid is itself psychoactive.) He will have the mother of all bad trips, basically a one-way ticket to hell, that he never fully recovers from. Drugs are bad, and drugs in dosages measured in kilograms are worse, alright?

Question: Stars and Gravity are Hard SF specifically in this call, but how broad will Tea or Coffee be? Just had an idea involving instant coffee crystals only and would like to know if that's not going to be accepted.

I have one, maybe two, recipes of my own, that I would be happy to turn into a story.

I don't know what that is but will challenge you to an Unglued death match with Mine, Mine, Mine! already in play.

Huh.

I live on the other coast; how would Mamdani have done if Cuomo hadn't run? Would that money have all gone to that finance oldboy?

In Kakuranger, they make it clear that evil takes the form of and is concentrated into one guy - but that evil comes from humans. If that guy is defeated, that evil will explode out like a grenade.

So they're forced to seal that guy away.

It's a nice change of pace, that show.

#1.

I grew up watching far too many shows, saw far too many real life events, that treated life as disposable. The line "We have to show [them] that our way works!" comes to mind.
