Fascists appeal to the imaginary past, so it is important to be able teach people who aren’t fascists about actualities. History isn’t a set of facts. It is a contested narrative based on contested evidence.

Substack: STILL a Nazi bar! Have you considered moving to Ghost or Buttondown? bsky.app/profile/scot...
FWIW, our decision to move The Reveal from Substack to Ghost recently was very scary because the newsletter is a big chunk of our livelihood. But the transition was seamless and we got a significant subscriber bump for doing it, too. Win-win!
The Substack app apparently push alert promoted a Nazi newsletter to several users. Users have complained about it on Substack Notes but the company hasn’t responded. Generally push alert promos are for content a user is likely to interact with

Also, if you're concerned about personal safety:

History shows that, under fascism, staying passive comes with no better odds of survival than engaging in civil, covert, or even military resistance. So you might as well resist in whatever way your skills, age, ability,.and conscience permit.
There is always something you can do to gum up the works of fascism.

A story. Claude Cahun. The queer nonbinary French-Jewish photographer.

Nazis conquered France, were training soldiers on Jersey, where Cahun lived w/their partner, Marcel Moore.

They did disinfo & morale smashing via Surrealism.

1) The head of T&S is not the person making decisions about individual moderation actions;
2) Viewing a post in the thread means not having whatever T&S tools and info is built into the report system (agent safety features, context about past reports, metadata about the account)

Absolutely deliberate. It's in nobody's* interest to have a widespread information and solidarity network, rather than an abusable propaganda-delivery machine
