Something for Christian apologists to chew on:

Quite a lot of the gospel involved Jesus dealing people who use performative piety to be selfish, authoritarian and harmful while defending spending time with a moral underclass.

Can you please stop saying that such people are not "real Christians".

Here’s the thing, if they are picking up folks working in the country illegally, I’m going to need to see some white guys also being arrested for employing people working illegally in the country.

Otherwise, it’s just racism.

Inspired by Doctrine & Covenants 18:10 which reads "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God," this canvas tote bag is designed to remind ourselves and others of those who need our love and advocacy the most. Would make a great church bag!
WORTH OF SOULS IS GREAT Canvas Tote Bag - Fundraiser for the International Rescue Committee, Supporting International Rescue Committee, Inc.
This tote bag is inspired by Doctrine and Covenants 18:10, a verse in latter-day saint scripture: "Remember the worth of souls is great in the sight of God." Now more than ever, may we always lift up ...

It's Women's History Month, and as guy, I wrote this for my fellow men. Because women already know this stuff.

Men - hope you take a moment to read and share.

It’s Women’s History Month—Men, We Must Do Better
The best way to celebrate women's history is to elevate women and to shut down the men working to deny women equal justice

When people say "free the hostages, I say "which ones? The thousands being tortured on the daily?"

I've already heard some of my more conservative friends and family members tell me about friends who lost jobs and pensions (months away from retirement) and worry about others who might. Firing park rangers also appears to be universally unpopular.
most people know someone who works for the federal government in some capacity

and even the assholes who think all federal employees are moochers tend to make a personal exception for their buddy Jim

everyone is going to hear stories of how cruel and capricious this is
im probably just being optimistic but it feels more and more like this strategy of rather indiscriminately and smugly firing a shitload of Americans who serve their country and don’t do political jobs will probably just start pissing off ppl who don’t pay attention to politics.

This is how you know MAGA's attack on DEI has nothing to do with meritocracy.

Normalize saying "you need Jesus" to christian nationalists

This administration has never been about religious freedom. It's about giving right-wing, evangelical, white nationalists power.

If Lutherans, Episcopalians, and Catholics are "not Christian enough" to be safe, you can be sure Mormons aren't either. 1/
Attacks on Catholics, Lutherans suggest new Trump approach on religion
Allies of the president are leveling attacks on religious groups, including Catholics and Lutherans, and questioning their efforts to help migrants.

Not enough people are talking about the United States' moral obligation to undocumented immigrants and all the refugees on our southern border.

We f***ed around. Now we're finding out.

As Jesus famously said, Love thy neighbor a bit less than thyself
I mean yes, there is such a concept in Christianity. It appears quite notably in the letters of Paul, for instance, where it’s a concept he *relentlessly* argues against, and in the Gospel where it’s a concept Jesus very much repeatedly scorns. So it is technically in there!

Keep hearing people say “2020s America is becoming 1930s Germany.”

Ok but 1930s Hitler sent his lawyers to USA to learn how U.S. Govt enforced Jim Crow laws & reported back that the American system is too extreme—even for Nazis.😳

Fact is 2020s USA is becoming 1920s USA—It’s what MAGA always meant.
