Long deep exasperated sigh-er.
@americanfietser.bsky.social : Once again biked to the grocery store, picked up most of Thanksgiving dinner, and biked back. The only time drivers aren't annoyed is when you've got a child carrier, otherwise you're a nuisance to them (locally).

In the past, I've put dinner for 14 in the carrier.

Cat, no longer squished behind toilet:

Progress. She did spend most of the afternoon inside our bedframe though.

Disturbing synchronicity on the timeline.

Progress with the new cat: she is still terrified of the house, but can deal with the bathroom door being open all the time. She doesn't try to hide behind the toilet anymore, but will race to sit next to it if anyone walks in.

With all the pathetic compensation ICE agents do with their "tactical" shit, surely the UK's own horrific version of ICE wouldn't engage in such... Oh, I'm being told they're *massive* Nazis.

I don't know the full history of our new cat, but she was a stray someone took in, and then after about a year gave to the Humane Society. "Timid" is an understatement. Absolutely terrified of everything is more apt. The first two days she spent smashed behind the toilet and the wall.

It is time to carve some pumpkins. And not instigate a forest or house fire.

...might have put too much kindling in there.

The Carv app/sensors are interesting, moderately useful (no replacement for professional instruction) but I get the distinct feeling they're going out of business given the number of errors in their website and app. This one was great:

What movie do you consider 'perfect'?

I am sorry @flangy.bsky.social but I have come across a terrible hat.

Why the fuck would you want to debate a Nazi? Why would you legitimize their ideas? The correct answer is to always punch a Nazi.

Leave the social media site owned by a white supremacist and humiliate them if they show up in your space. They should feel bad - because they are bad.

Well *someone's* rhododendrons aren't dying of phytophthera. Or at least the varieties that this lateral flow test kit tests for.

Yes yes, the timeline is the timeline, but trump/bond discourse is some painful mental whiplash.

So happy that I have a functioning vent (to outside, even). But I will love the day we gut this kitchen and I get to put in a proper and relatively quiet vent, instead of this microwave one.

Btw, the LG extend-a-vent thing actually somewhat works!

Oakwood has one, and the city lives up to its name (well, there are a *lot* of maples).
