CCTV has a montage of cute small children watching the military parade yesterday, netizens saying this is "the best patriotic education."

There really isn't any national security topic state media hasn't tried levering cuteness into to make it more appealing.

I got the complaint in the horrific OpenAI self harm case the the NY Times reported today

This is way way worse even than the NYT article makes it out to be

OpenAI absolutely deserves to be run out of business

Great piece from @alexludoboyd.bsky.social on what America is actually reading about China: "American reading appetites, when it comes to China, skew towards conspiracy theories and analyses of Cold War redux"

Willing to bet the UK little different.

Boris Johnson in Taiwan suggests "the solution to the cross-strait dispute would be to ask Beijing if they really wanted Taiwan." Give the man his Nobel Peace Prize.

Kudos to Sasha B. Chhabra for pointing out the DPP paying BJ and Liz Truss 100k to speak on Taiwan is money down the drain.

HK’s Environment Protection Dep’t says the wastewater will be too diluted by the time it hits HK to cause damage, so that is reassuring.

But if you followed all the official hysteria and state media fear-mongering around the release of treated wastewater from Fukushima, it is also extremely ironic.
The Huizhou petrochemical complex at Daya Bay is extending its wastewater discharge pipe to protect local waters. The catch, Ming Pao reports, is that it will pump the polluted water in Hong Kong’s direction instead.

Otherwise there’s only two possibilities:

1. You can’t
2. You can but won’t

Oh. And angrily restating your opinion isn’t an argument.
