I'm always extremely annoyed at Cyprus by late Feb/early March after months of inclusion of their artists is lists and speculation when no song is released.

Klein's "Charlie Kirk was doing politics the right way" line is particularly telling here. It had nothing to do with the facts of Kirk's life and actions, and everything to do with belief. If Kirk *wasn't* doing politics the right way, Klein's own interactions with him seem naive and foolish.

Lots of wildly incriminating stuff in here but also seeing a lot of people taking whatever he says as gospel, when he was, among other things, a world-class bullshit artist.

Conservatives when it's a 15 year old in library; "These are children and I can't believe we are letting them read smut like Twilight!!!"

Conservatives when it's a 15 year old sex trafficking victim; "Looks, these people are practically legal. Barely legal even"

The consensus view among the Dem base is:
-normie mainstream liberalism
-unremitting, fire-breathing, hardline anti-Trumpism

The factions that exist outside of this consensus have a strong incentive to essentially act as if it’s not an option, and you must choose either leftism or accommodationism

"look at the letters in the word" is literally reading, and "look at a nearby picture" is obviously not.

I'm kind of curious what anti-phonics people think reading is. If "here's a dragon" is put next to a picture of a tree, if you "read" a sentence about a tree you literally aren't reading words!

I think many people are temperamentally conservative but are locked out of conservative politics because conservative politics is ceaselessly hostile to anyone who is not a straight white man.
