It was frustrating this morning to see the AP story about Nneka Ogwumike joining Project B. It's irresponsible for the primary story being shared to not mention the league being backed by Saudi PIF money. They mention other athletes like Novak Djokovic and Candace Parker, but not the main funding...

Captured the controversy of Nneka’s choice perfectly. hypocritical & disappointing from the WNBA PA President.
Today's Walking Bucket newsletter is LIVE:

For a player who has said that she "wants to be on the right side of history," Nneka Ogwumike being the first player to sign on to the Saudi PIF-backed Project B basketball league is hypocrisy at its finest.

Rhyne Howard got consecutive Eastern Conference player of the week awards, became the first player ever to have multiple games in a single season with 9 3PM - tying her own record for 3PM, is top 20 in multiple stat categories but won’t even get second team on your ballots? Wild. #wnba

It's never fun for men to hold other men accountable for their mistreatment of women. It's necessary though.

I wrote about it for BadFaithTimes.com.

They'll never say it, but the Dream - to me - should be 100% wanting to draw the Fever in the first round. Not just with the injuries, but the travel involved, too. Much easier trip to Indiana than The Bay for Game 2. #WNBA

Great comeback for the Atlanta Dream after a slow start. Even without Allisha Gray, they're playing hard and making shots!

I'm Team Naz, but this is a good read for award season!
Naz Hillmon is indispensable for the Dream. Jessica Shepard keeps the Lynx humming. Dominique Malonga changes the energy for the Storm.

Each of the excellent bench players has a case to be the #WNBA Sixth Player of the Year.

Here's more on their 6POY credentials: buff.ly/FvIj1jl

Sue Bird has mentioned Naz Hillmon's improvement as a 3-point shooter several times on her podcast and how she can't remember anyone making a similar jump. Hillmon has the most 3s (45) above her previous career total (1) in a fourth WNBA season or later on record.

Rhyne Howard has been streaky this season, but is showing what she can do when she's feeling it in this second quarter with three quick threes. Forces Dallas to take a timeout.

0%. She was on the sidelines with Taylor Thierry doing some light stationary bike work in her practice gear, but she won't be playing. Expect to see a lot of Paopao and Maya Caldwell.
Think there's any chance of Jordin Canada returning for the game?

Just one turnover for the Atlanta Dream in the first quarter is a solid recipe for success. Sprinkle in 50% three-point shooting and BG making free throws and we should be in for a good night if they can keep this up.
