As an author, I’ve already gotten multiple emails from people asking me for fake articles and books that I’ve supposedly written, because chatbots have told them fake references. I *cannot imagine* the frustration and time waste for librarians and especially ILL library professionals right now.

I decided to do a self Christmas this year and get myself some movies and one of the ones I bought was Sketch because it looked like a horror movie for kids in the vain of Gremlins.
But apparently the film uses AI at the end and acts as an add for an AI app!? What the crap!

It's struck me that subtitles may not exist anymore in just a bit. My job MAKES me take notes with AI and every note it has ever taken is off fundamentally, none of them fit what happened. So if AI is used to write subtitles nobody will have any idea what is actually said. Anime will be unwatchable
