Water privatisation in England is a disaster. Given that these companies have failed utterly and are burdened with £billions in debt, their market value is essentially zero. So why are the government spouting the water industry's own figures to say nationalisation would be too expensive?
Clean, affordable water belongs to all of us. But public ownership is being blocked by misleading figures.

Can you ask the Environment Secretary to act on real evidence for public ownership and put people, not profiteers, first?

This is chilling stuff. Protester told by the police that holding up a banner opposing genocide in Gaza and supporting Palestine creates a "suspicion" that they may support a proscribed group and so could be arrested for terrorism offences
Police in Canterbury today informed a protestor that the phrase "Israel is committing genocide in Gaza" could be considered a declaration of support for Palestine Action and therefore a terrorism offence.
