I have closed every live-stream i've done in the last few years with the same line. I have viewers from around the world, and I don't know what time it is where you are, so I will leave you all with this "Good morning, and in case I don't see you later, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"

As I sign off on my final live-stream tonight, I want you all to know, It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to share my thoughts with you all. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I love you all.

I will never be able to properly thank you all. I will never be able to give you all the hug you deserve for making my life as amazing as you have in the last 5 years. Trust me when I say, I owe you all the world. I want you to know how much your kindness was not only heard by me, but lived in.

More than all of that, I've had the unbelievable luck of getting to experience what it's like to find an audience of tens of millions of people who liked what I had to say. I got to share the things I am passionate about with more people than I could ever hope to meet.

I got to record a TV show, guest star on podcasts, get a book deal, be on the news, and fight against misinformation in the middle of a global pandemic. I have also been the subject of death threats and a tirade of hate for having the balls to stand on business for the things I believe in.

I have learned so many different things about art & science & math & philosophy & history & politics & technology & what it even means to be a human in this world. It has changed the way I think in an innumerable number of ways for the better. It has also ruined good days and fixed bad ones

TikTok is where I found poetry that made me cry, music that made me feel less alone, stories from folks around the world sharing experiences I will never have. I watched wars unfold in real time. I watched people I used to idolize as creators become peers & then friends as my own content caught on.

I agree it’s fishy, but not because they’re trying to distract us. I have absolutely no doubt that at the higher level they 100% know exactly what these drones are, either because they are ours in the first place, or because they belong to a defense contractor or private company

My only point is that “big thing X happened right after big thing Y” is not (in of itself) evidence of a coverup or a psyop. All it is evidence of is that two things happened. There are 237 counties on earth housing 8.1 billion people, that is a lot of changes for things to happen every single day.

This is not me saying the the US government hasn’t used events to shift public attention in the past, or that they wouldn’t now; though it’s worth noting it is MUCH harder today given how much social media has worked to decentralize media generation and attention through UGC & algorithms

I checked out a copy of this online. There is only 1 quote that is close, but he is talking about specifically writers, not people in general. Bukowski wasn't the first to express this idea, he wasn't the origin of the quote from the image, but yes he did once say something kind of similar

Please tell me specifically where Bukowski said this I will accept any poem, any essay, or any book written by him. You only have to give me the title, but I would also appreciate a chapter page if you have it

if you wanna watch something that ruins your life, just watch the news or open twitter for 5 minutes

Any Google search is better than blind faith, but that doesn’t mean stopping at the ai summary. For the above, a Reddit thread pointed me to the true source, then I found a PDF of “the triumph of stupidity” and used ctrl+f to find the quote & confirm its origin. Same for the others. Pretty easy.

For those curious, that was typewritten on my gorgeous Olympia De-Luxe SM3, acquired & serviced by the fine folks over at Type Townsend who did me a huge favor in helping get it to me after I made the unforgivable mistake of not taking it home on first sight
