History here at Breslin tonight ⬇️
MSU women's basketball has just set the school record for points in a game after a pair of Abbey Kimball free throws pushed its total to 118. Previous high was 116 points in a win over Niagara in 2008.

I’ve watched more playoff baseball this year than I have in a looong time and I have 2 thoughts:
1: These games are great. This is great drama. Hot damn!
2: There‘s something very enjoyable about watching very average looking guys excel at the highest level.

Lions fans, how we feeling? I don’t want to alarm anyone, but we’re on a pace to get outscored 680-0 this season.

As someone whose favorite sport is basketball, I want so badly to get into the NBA/WNBA. But y’all have to stop playing these club sounds all game long… totally ruins the experience watching from home. If you think your games are too quiet, pump in crowd noise like the NFL. Just anything else really

Tom Izzo is the Big Ten's coach of the year. Really had to be, considering MSU won the Big Ten by three games and none of his players are on the Big Ten's first or second teams (Though some of us had Jase Richardson second team).
Maryland's Derik Queen is the Big Ten's freshman of the year. Definitely deserving. Jase Richardson had a strong case and made the All-Freshman team. Jaden Akins made the All-Defensive team.

I'll have a column on the All-Big Ten teams with my ballot and choices coming shortly.
