Sometimes I experience time like Dr. Manhattan. It is February, 2003, freezing rain noisily spatters the window of my dorm room in the Roost as I sit on my bed, making notes for a philosophy paper. In The Aeroplane Over The Sea plays on my cd player. I am 19 years old. Jenny will dump me in 6 weeks
Like Ryan, Moist is my favourite band and as we're also the same age, it would be Mercedes Five and Dime for me too. But since he just did that I'll show my runner up for that year by Ben Folds Five.

Because 2D animation is amazing and not something to just be abandoned. I can't believe how stupid Disney and other Western companies have been about this.

The issue of West Mabou Beach Provincial Park is important to the entirety of Nova Scotia because handing it over to create a golf course would set a precedent for all protected land in the province. If they can do it here, they will do it anywhere. Comments on this: www.youtube.com/live/RP1xHzB...

Rented for my birthday in 1995.
This might've been the first big multiplayer game my friends and I got into. The precursor to many late Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye 007 nights.
This 1993 U.S. print ad scanned by the VGHF showcases the Super Bomberman Party Pak, including the game and the four-player adaptor for the SNES. (So much fun!)

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

A massive loss 💔

Consider this as a gift
as you taste him on your lips
and he's making you Scream
with his hands on your hips
hope he's leaving you empty, baby
this is just a fix
for such a simple, little whore

I have letter to the editor this week in our local paper.
Our community is, once again, facing a developer who wants to turn public, protected coastal land into a golf course. We've been here before. This time, it's shadier. And God knows it was shady last time. www.invernessoran.ca/top-story/co...

I don't even collect these titles but I had to pick these 2 up for their AMAZING variant covers. I'm not sure who did what so I'll just credit all the variant artists: Serg Acuna, Christian Ward, Kyuyong Eom, Nathan Szerdy, Guillem March, Salvadore Larroca, Pasqueale Ferrara, Tula Lotay.

Finally replaced the ugly, 60 year old dresser I'd been dragging from apartment to apartment for the last 20 years. Now I can play games on my little CRT tv sitting on my bed like back when I was in university. Good stuff.

Ninety-three. Today was productive but overall this is taking forever. Sorry, I don't just follow hundreds of people hoping they'll follow back. That way lies madness.

Back in 1946, the KKK was trying to make a major comeback after World War II.

Enter Superman — the Man of Steel exposed their secrets and took them down in his radio show.

I asked Rick Bowers, author of Superman vs the Ku Klux Klan, what we can learn from this today

I loved the videogame and have owned the comic series for a few decades but never actually read the novel, which has some differences. So it's nice that it got the Essential Legends Collection treatment.
