Imagine putting on all this tactical gear and latching onto a military assault vehicle so you can storm a minimall on Sepulveda and apprehend a line cook at family restaurant.

Mohsen Mahdawi of White River Junction, Vermont was illegally detained by ICE during what was supposed to be the final step in his citizenship process.
Mr. Mahdawi, a legal resident of the US, must be afforded due process under the law and immediately released from detention.

I remember in grad school there was an econ professor who said, yeah, we don’t really manufacture anything anymore but we’re a very nice and stable place to live and people with money want to visit, study, and move here, and as long as that stays how it is we’re fine.
