BrainGains is easier to run! When #learning to #code run it as a local docker app. Had a ton of fun putting this in. It's become a great solution for getting out of #tutorialhell, too!

One thing I love about James Gunn's approach to superheroes is that he retains their inherent silliness, and uses that fantasy aspect to engage with real-world issues, as seen in #superman and #thesuicidesquad. I wrote about that for @reactorsff.bsky.social: reactormag.com/superman-emb...

This is an incredibly apt and funny one. Also appropriate that the poster is already arguing their POV. What a time to be alive.

90% of the time I'm not even hitting send, if I reach for #copilot, because the act of typing it out works to do some rubber ducky debugging.

#Docker Desktop 4.38.0:
Ask Gordon (beta).. may send relevant files, directories, or image metadata to the Gordon backend along with your query... #AskGordon can access files and directories in the current working directory where the command is executed.

Wish I could even consider that.

Dark Souls 3 was an absolute blast.
I wish I had played it before Elden Ring, as I felt like ED + ED's DLC made me a lot better than most of these fights, had a few tough ones though.
Shout out to @Itsshatter on YT too.

Spent the weekend chiseling tile. 1500kg renovation debris moved out as well.

Varekai captured how I'm feeling today. I need to clip onto the wall to stay upright.

Docker Desktop on Mac miscategorized as malware, lead me to a pretty shitty day recently. A combination of the security software on my mac, and this FP meant my machine was hard crashing repeatedly.

Here's the thread, and fix ( update 4.37.2 )

Starting to really like BrainGains, went #darkmode and haven't looked back. All this react training has me wondering how fast I could convert this whole thing from #python + #flask to a local #vite app using #react.

Anyone have a good extension/solution for getting the standard Dom elements to show tooltip docs/info for #javascript in #VSCode ?

I've tried about fifty different settings and extensions to no avail. A link to the mdn docs would be great.

Gah. These days I dread reading a wikipedia about ppl.

Last 48 hours. The Leitner learning system, which has been a massive help for me learning to code, built it into my app Braingains? Yeah, developed by a guy who was 100% a bad guy in WWII.
Guy who wrote JS? He paid to support prop8 and worse

It's 2024, and I finally added dark mode. I have no real excuse as it's using Bootstrap CSS and it was just a few lines of text and some js to do it.

But, we got there.

I think this is starting to look really good. I know I prefer to run it as a local app with docker or with python. But to get more users I'd have to host it. The idea of letting folks I don't know write literal code as input ... yea naw.
