Poor player of guitar, maker of music, overland traveler, decent player of Tetris, occasional gamer on Steam Deck, coder of things, lover of technology, HAM - N1TTE.
So, not sure if you were wanting a serious answer or not, but the rule is actually catching the snitch _ends_ the game and is worth 150 points. If your defense sucks and you're down 160...you still lose...

Exactly John, this vote Yes is an endorsement of an attack on our democracy from within. It's terribly scary to admit that is happening...but to continue to pretend the federal government is governing in a normal and sane fashion is worse...

My favorite example is GrndpaGaming, he accidentally trained many Battlefield gamers by streaming his sniper ability based on his actual sniper ability. I'm behind on games, but @49 getting back into the flow with RDR2 and GOW. And if the young bucks are feeling salty, let's play some Tetris 99...

While I agree it could happen, it would take someone explicitly saying Pluto is not a planet anymore...then what were the nine planets in the solar system...then how there are thousands of dwarf planets...then what is a solar system...pretty sure he would check out and never think about it again...

Regardless, love you Mark. Keep doing what your doing. You can make a bigger impact than most...

Not to be argumentative, but no...you implied he would store them for later(no mention of a database). And you stated that it would be too difficult to easily process the data to take immediate action. I stated I disagreed. It would be easy.

I politely disagree on that. No AI needed. You have a db of who you emailed. Simple program to dump who responds into a table. Then an outer join lets you know who didn't....they failed the loyalty test and are now fired....sometime worst case isn't that hard...

More clean headroom, tighter overall.  I also reinstalled my matser volume mod with a proper audio pot, so still need to experiment with higher volumes to see about the harmonics, but first impressions were very favorable.
Got it all mounted up and looking forward to playing it for a bit...

I also choose from 2 different taps when I was wiring, I had a 110 and a 125.  I chose the 125 because while lower than our actual wall power of 120, it was closer than 110.  Decided to switch to the 110 tap and DC voltage jumped up from 330 to near 380.  Closer to typical for the amp.

Still not 100% happy as I still have some low frequency harmonics or oscillations on ringing chords, but feeling better. I found one last thing to try.

A post from across the pond, mentioned having lower voltages and fixing it by using a different input tap on their transformer...220 vs 240.

As an afterthought got some JJ 12AX7s also to round it out with all new JJs tubes.  The rectifier came first and that was indeed the voltage issue.  Back to 330V.
After getting all tubes in, I gave it another play and it was much better.

Unfortunately I don't have spares laying around as this is my first foray into tubes.  So I made an order for a JJ 5Y3.  Worried about why it may have died and having noticed both 6Y6s, along with the 5Y3 make mechanical noise if I shake  them, I decided to also get new power valves.

I was low on power. The DC feed coming in was only reading ~280 volts.  It was previously 330.  I checked the previously missing grid leak connection, then part by part I reflowed solder and rechecked components. Posted to a gear forum and someone suggested it was simply the rectifier.

So, I figured something had come loose. Fixed a bad solder joint to the v2 12AX7. No change. Then found a backwards capacitor. Was that the culprit, did I burn it out? Apparently not, tested out fine and made no difference once replaced.  Finally I noticed something of greater significance...

Shortly after the last post, after replacing the V1 preamp for a more proper 12AY7, I decided to play one more time before getting it mounted into the cabinet, and it sounded horribly.  Very flubby, loose sound. Unable to get any kind of clean tone.

Anyway, so I'm on the lookout for HAM content here to find some motivation to expand my radio horizons.

So, while I obviously underutilize my HAM license, it's a nice to have that I would definitely like to explore more. I always forget, it's the #1 resource during severe weather also. The local club links up statewide during severe weather outbreaks and trained spotters update...

An aprs powered sms gateway allowing 2 way text communication via radio. There is apparently a regulations snafu currently, but it appears another service has been stood up that serves the same purpose. So, it's nice to send that, "I'm OK" text when I stop for the night with no cell service.

When I first started messing with it APRS seemed like a great, but underutilized, concept. I got a mobile Kenwood unit and thus basically installed a tracker on myself. My wife could now keep up with my position in case I failed to return from the woods one weekend. I then found SMSGTE...

FRS/GMRS were still hobbled by frequency/power regulations and I like the idea of Amateur Radio as a basic concept, so I got my Technician and later General license. I barely use it for voice comms, not being someone who tends to just "talk to strangers", but I found a perfect use case, APRS.

Offensive tuenovers... like many other games...might not be enough, but wouldn't hurt...

I'm sure it's difficult to compete with the influx of inexpensive handhelds and more so with the big players such as the Steam Deck. That's where my emulation lives these days...My MPD client just runs in linux...I should get it running on the Steam Deck just for grins...

I had an original pre-order Pandora and it was a neat piece of hardware. Unfortunately, there was some fallout among the devs, but the project appears to still have some life reborn as the Pyra.
