Development on this game is currently really slow cause I'm mainly working on another project right now. That one I haven't announced yet, but it will be pretty cool as well :)

So I fixed the performance issue with my sandbox game.
The game looks exactly the same as before (in fact this is an old screenshot ;) ), but now blocks can be placed without creating massive lag spikes \o/

With the world heating up [and more pedestrians being killed], why are more SUVs being sold?

“It’s the industry that has driven the demand through huge marketing & advertising campaigns in recent years. SUVs offered the industry a simple way of charging more for a vehicle that does the same thing.”
With the world heating up, why are more SUVs being sold?
Despite dire predictions of climate breakdown, more Sports Utility Vehicles are being spotted on, and off, the roads.

Gee wonder who owns the Post? And runs a massive company that will (likely) have to start paying a more reasonable tax bill as a result?

WP is just a Bezos PR company, ignore this like the bullshit it us

The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

This is interesting — a recent study of mode share (the % share of transportation trips by car, transit, walking, biking etc) relative to city size and income levels in almost 800 cities in 61 countries. Interesting results. HT @davidzipper.bsky.social

No one should have to face such threats.

It would’ve been nice if Greene had realized this before she amplified and endorsed calls for executing Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama.

Most dismaying is the lack of imagination. How sad to equate freedom for sitting alone in a private, movable metal cell—a.k.a. car—and then spend most time in a long row of these cells—a.k.a. traffic jam? And how many people r even truly noticing the few genuine freedoms that car can actually offer?
Never forget, car dependency is the opposite of freedom.

What’s more “free” than cars, you ask?

Choices.

Private equity firm Sycamore Partners bought Walgreens.

Now Walgreens has stopped giving most workers paid vacation on Thanksgiving, Christmas and other major holidays.

Private equity takeovers are a disaster for workers, and customers.

Get the delivery guys to park in the loading bay at the end of the street and bring it the short distance from there.

Random person who plays indie games, you are the most important cog in an indie game's success.

Most gamers don't know or care that indies exist.... unless a friend tells them.

Our games succeed because you tell other people you liked our game. Word of mouth is the best marketing there is.

Have you heard of “The Populist Playbook?”

A few years ago, I posted what I still consider one of my most important messages.

It was about “The Populist Playbook” that I’ve watched play out often over my 33+ years of city planning.

Since then, it’s only gotten worse.

Do the steps sound familiar?
