Retired wetland/stream/404 in NM. Part-time consulting. Geologist. Daughter is a badass Marine. The Guy (who eats dinner across the table from me) did the same thing I did before he retired. I photograph wildflowers and make jewelry.
It’s a fall-blooming crocus for saffron. Not sure of species. I had Persian species tulips but I don’t think they are blooming anymore (not something the guy has paid attention to). I got some species iris from a rock garden specialty nursery in OR.

Sounds like a blast! Enjoy your visit. I’m going to Denver Sunday/Monday to pick up flooring. If I don’t do that, I have to wait until January because it is nationally back ordered. IKEA/nice mall/flooring then home.

I planted some saffron crocus, camas, and iris as an experiment - I’ll be happy if any come up next s/s. Will do calochortus after we rebuild the front porch.

I’m not sure GOK ever did a calochortus - FRW your nuttallii is gorgeous! I’m hoping to find seed for it so I can grow it here in NM. Better yet, bulbs.

I spent the evening with a friend who’s worked without pay since 10/1 (I paid). I have a number of other friends in the same position. My daughter is not getting housing allowance or pay - in a foreign country. Fuck this shit. They’re willing to sacrifice for the greater good but our D senators? Nah

Yeah it was the 8 that voted to to invoke cloture, but it's on Murray as SAC Vice Chair and Heinrich and Ossoff as the Dems on the Leg subcommittee as to how they either were a-ok with this, or didn't bother highlighting it as something in the bill they disagreed with
