And simulated empathy is not empathy.

It’s actually a form of sociopathy.

Also, that kind of ipso facto, “We did something illegal, but if you rule that it’s illegal, that’s financially messy, so you can’t rule it’s illegal” isn’t even a real legal argument.

And I’m going to keep pushing for blue city and state political leaders to use *their* police proactively by creating dedicated special task forces specifically to ensure & enforce DHS uses due process and protect from bounty hunter and copycat criminality.
I’ll reiterate the fact that I have gone to my County board demanding they prepare our police to counter DHS & copycat criminality.

If you live in a blue city or state, I highly recommend you do as well as there is NO time to lose./1
I’m just going to keep banging this drum until I see real action from Mayors and Governors.

Homan is telegraphing the regime’s battle plan for this “soft civil war.” Counties, cities, and states have “soldiers” too — they’re called the police.

DHS overreach & criminal copycats are a crime wave.

Debt-driven indentured servitude harkens back to the company towns of The Gilded Age; a perfect situation for today’s Tech Broligarchs to control their “mindless rabble.”

It all makes sense if you realize that the 1920s is the economic, political, and cultural model from which P2025 was built.

💯

Frankly, while I let my Senator @kaine.senate.gov know how much of a mistake I thought this was, the delight that those like Stewart take in turning it into a “sky is falling” moment for Democrats is as unhelpful as the moderates who kept bashing Mamdani.

Stewart was much better on Apple.

The mantra that so many of these people must be saying into a mirror every, single, morning in order to keep their soul fully sold.

For those who haven’t seen the cruelty that brought me to tears, I beg you look, and put the sound ON.

Then share with everyone you know.

F*ck—I’m crying again.

Unfathomable.
ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”

He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care

This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person

They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota

It’s not about keeping players away from betting; my idea is to limit what can actually be bet on legally. If you make things like betting on single pitches, plays, swings, shots…illegal, you can still bet, but individual player-controlled outcomes become more difficult.

That, I think, has a shot.

And the NBA and the NFL and the NHL and the WNBA and the WTA and the MLS — you could go on-and-on with the corporate sports entities who gladly invited the vampire into their home.

That said, there might be some garlic that could at least provide some protection. Think that’s be best we can do now.
I’ll add that while I get that the genie is out of the bottle, perhaps there are some restrictions that could at least curb some of the most egregious potential abuses.

Do we really need bets on individual pitches or plays? At least make it harder for players to individually impact outcomes.

I do hope that House Democrats are running all the traps as though I believe the Senate deal has forced Johnson’s hand, he will do *anything* legal, extra-legal, or illegal to keep the Epstein discharge petition from being filed.

House Dems have that winning hand there and can’t afford to lose it.
