I visited the Louvre in May 1998 when a painting by the 19th-century artist Camille Corot, titled "The Sevres Road," was stolen. They wouldn’t let anyone leave for what felt like forever. Then they searched every bag as we left. It’s crazy that thieves attack there during open hours.

Last Thanksgiving the fam and I went to DC last minute. We joked that we wanted to see DC while it still existed. I’m so glad my children saw some of the exhibits in this museum.

I’ve been telling myself not to pay attention to everything related to the new administration for my own mental health. I try to avoid the news. But this is appalling. I can’t bury my head in the sand. I refuse to give up fighting for what I believe is right. This isn’t it.
