Bro excitement over “AI” art strikes me as another example of the notion that an “idea” is worth more than execution, as in “I’ll give you my idea, you write it, and we’ll split the proceeds 50/50.”

The convos around the copyright/AI situation shows how lots of people love art but hate artists. You want to consume what we make, but not for us to have any ownership over it. The reality is we live in a capitalist society; we have to protect what we create or we can’t support creative livelihoods.
