North of Boston, likes cake/ice cream, dogs, books, and civil rights for all.
My friend and I went to see 12 Monkeys at the cheap theater in its last few days, so it wasn’t very crowded. As the credits rolled, this girl stood up and yelled “what. THE FUCK. was that?!?!” And I couldn’t help her, because I also had no freaking idea.

Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

I‘ve met a lot of politicos over the years, but I’m pretty sure my coolest celebrity connection is that a friend’s dog is in the National Dog Show this year.

There are fiftyleven billion economists at this university. There is NO WAY they couldn't find someone else to finish off this class for the last two weeks of the semester. Unless they just can't be bothered.

I guess someone realized he wasn't holding on to his House seat. Nothing will make me vote harder for an octogenarian Markey than Seth Moulton running against him.

Cannot believe Harvard Square is going from four Starbucks a few years ago (if you include the one by the law school) to absolutely no Starbucks.

@fuggirls.bsky.social, I just read Jessica's story about the Oasis concert, and as another 50 year-old woman who is also out of fucks and tired of men talking at her, I cannot applaud you enough for that. Those guys suuuuuuucked, and they got what they deserved.

I genuinely cannot believe how many Democrats are spending their energy on destroying Mamdani when the GOP is trying to turn ICE into a full on secret police by drastically raising their budget

Today we had a birthday party for my 10 year old. His friends had a cupcake fight in the party room. Icing& crumbs everywhere. One dove across the table like he was a Duke boy. Later, he took off and ran around the mall & into the parking lot with a gaggle of kids chasing him.

One of the reasons I even responded to my now husband’s initial message was because the What I’m Looking For section of his Match profile included the sentence, “you are absolutely nothing like Ann Coulter.”

Walked by the romance bookstore near my work, and they are having an event celebrating The Great Gatsby. Did anyone working there read the book, because...

Woke up this morning to see my employer is caving to the bullies, but Cory Booker is still going. It’s good to see someone have a spine, even temporarily.

The 9 (and a half) year old wrote this last night because he wasn't feeling well, but I think it could actually be about just being a person.

I was wondering what white lady grifter would get DoE, so this tracks. I would also like to put a million Stanley nickels on Byron Donalds as HUD secretary. (I will also put 100 Stanley nickels each on Tim Scott or Candace Owens as a back up.)
