The Causes of War & the Conditions of Peace

“I know the limits of international law but I still believe in peaceful means of conflict resolution and prevention. So I want to make the system work, but I know that it will take a longer time than normal to fix it – and meanwhile, many more people will die.”

UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese

How the BBC undermined a Labour leader without any repercussions.
BBC leaders resigned for misrepresenting Trump, but not for misrepresenting Corbyn
The head of the BBC, Tim Davie, and the head of BBC News, Deborah Turness, have been forced to resign after misrepresenting Donald Trump.

The easiest time to end a war is in the early days as we saw with the recent Indian-Pakistan conflict and the Iran-Israel war

The Ukraine war could have ended in April 2022 but Zalenski, Boris Johnson & the West chose to walk away

Hundreds of thousands of unnecessary deaths are the result
One of the lessons of the Ukraine War is that it is easier to start wars than it is to finish wars

NATO believes in peace through dominance which will be hugely expensive or we could work for an indivisible pan European security architecture

This would be cheaper and fewer people die

Military Industrial Complex won’t like this

Nato states believe in “peace through strength“

What happens when NATO meets another strong military entity that believes “in peace through strength?”

The forces of the right and the Israeli lobby captured some BBC scalps today
November 10, 2025 at 3:24 PM
Having watched British media coverage of the Gaza slaughter, the idea that BBC is biased against Israel is nonsense

BBC where the word genocide is effectively banned is not biased against Israel

Nonsense
Foolish in the extreme that a landlord that is required to have paperwork on file and fails to ensure the delegated matter has been finalised and the file is fully compliant

Any reasonable man or woman would do this as a matter of best practice - let alone a chancellor
If you employ a professional you shouldn’t need to double check they act in your best interest - it’s a given and what you pay for. At least that’s what my clients expected.

This guardian article about a Russian Oligarch who his his wealth from his wife in divorce

Headline claims he had links to Putin but gives no evidence of this

Buried deeper it notes he was co-founder of the Israeli Jewish Congress.

No headline for this

Russia is making significant progress in this grim war of attrition in Ukaraine

Watch out for false flag operations
False Flag.
Starmer and Trump know they will be annihilated at the next election so they're pushing for WW3 before they face the electorate.
Drones appear above an airport in Belgium

Media claims Russia is the likely culprit

Seriously?

Russia is hundreds of miles away from Belgium

Look at a map FFS 🤦‍♀️

With respect what you may or may not choose to do with your money is entirely anecdotal & cannot be extrapolated beyond this with any validity

Anecdotal behaviour does not form any reliable evidential basis
No, I pay my membership and also donate.
November 9, 2025 at 8:54 PM
Are you seriously trying to conflate party member fees to political donations?

Really?
Oh and yes, donors donate fairly large sums of money in political parties for no financial or personal gain to themselves, I donate to the Labour party via membership and monthly donations I get nothing back nor ask for anything personal back.
November 9, 2025 at 4:05 PM
You think donors make party political donations for the benefit of their health?
Which MP failed to pay letting fees and which MP knowingly appointed a donor into a position of power and influence and do you genuinely think £2,900 buys you power?

A reasonable person would have checked to ensure the letting agent had fulfilled their promise and had the necessary paperwork on file
The letting agent failed to do their job on the Reeves case.

Take into account the Hollywood production values, the intimidating voice over, Top Gun influences, messaging of dominance, & subtle glorification of war

Do that & then tell me NATO is a defensive alliance

Given these strategic based realities did Ukraine or NATO members ever take time to evaluate these fundamental factors?
If states abandon diplomacy & decide to settle matters on the battlefield there are 3 critical factors that will effect the outcome

The winner is likely to be the state that -

is self sufficient in food production

is self sufficient in energy

has a strong industrial capacity

Russia has this

Have you ever read Minsk 2 sir?
Tonight, the evil, terrorist nation of Russia is launching ballistic missiles and drones at civilians again, like they do every night.
