Speaking of… I can’t wait for him to tackle vigilantes Shirakumo, specifically. His flashback scenes in the anime are all very sweet moments that don’t in any way reflect the ef5 tornado of a personality he has in the school days arc

I talked about this over a year ago on a private account but I wanted to bring it up again, that I really enjoy the possible visual symbolism of Shirakumo’s goggles not fitting well on Mic, especially with the later context of Mic’s deep distrust of Kurogiri

The reason it’s baffling because it’s a bandage in vigilantes (it’s taken off when he showers) but then Horikoshi went ahead and made it a permanent thing regardless. Which is like.. yea, it’s pretty much the defining feature of his design. But this is going to confuse people lol

The anime is NOT helping me with the case that the strip is part of his face. Horikoshi you gotta tell people this more clearly!! He clearly didn’t apply a fresh bandage that morning!! It’s a mark!!

I think I forgot to hit post here but thanks to Dia’s mentions of dimigard waifu war I had a realization that’s exactly what’s happening in the 3baka space with Mic and Shirakumo. I always hated calling it emic vs ecloud because the fighting between Mic and Shirakumo fans extends WAY beyond shipping

Every time a huge drama occurs in the 3baka fandom it exclusively comes from the teen/young adult emic shippers. It’s almost like there’s some kind of common denominator ? It’s almost as if that fandom is a toxicity breeding ground and everyone involved in it is at minimum complicit in harassment
