I read this story thinking that this shooter wouldn't stand a chance in my building. I'd lock down, grab my shotgun, xtra ammo, phone, kill the lights, guard the door until we get the all-clear from the cops. The point is, I can defend my home, with ease and no worries. I feel for those who can't.

I was shocked to see the BN print edition for sale in a supermarket. It's wispy thin, more like a sales flyer or a little town newspaper. Obviously, It can't last. Neither can local TV news which have become a community calendars full of charity events and (almost) no news. WNY= a news desert
