"Honest, Mom: It's not my weed. I'm holding it fir a friend."
Mike Johnson expresses concern that requiring the Epstein files to come out "could ruin the reputations of completely innocent people, such as those who may just have known Epstein but knew nothing of his crimes or whose names he exploited and used to try to get close to his intended victims."

This is nauseating: “As the emails stretch through the years, they show how that protected realm vanished into the mists of time, pulled under by the rising forces of the internet and the #MeToo movement.” A “Gone With the Wind” framing for sexual abuse and harassment.
Seriously, what is wrong with these people?

Two weeks later and still feeling inspired! Honored to deliver the keynote at BGSU’s Soap Operas in Pop Culture Conference. Amanda Reyes wrote a wonderful recap of the weekend—stay tuned as I bring some of these amazing panels and voices to #TheLocherRoom. Click link in profile to read her recap.

50 years ago today - Nov 7, 1975 - was the first, last, and only table read for Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. Shooting a show a day, we had no time for such luxuries.

We also took this famous picture. Norman had a copy behind his desk in his home office.

I'm now the same age Dody Goodman was here.

Nancy was 41 before she saw a Woman Supreme Court Justice. And may I remind you, she, along with every other single woman in the USA, has never lived in a country with an Equal Rights Amendment for women.

RT @tlduryea Nancy Pelosi was born in 1940. That means she was 32 when Roe passed. She’d already had 5 babies by then. She would have been 34 when the first Woman Governor was elected in her own right.

'Don't read too much into last night's ass whoopin'' says the impotent Speaker who told us not to get distracted by facts.
Mike Johnson: "What happened last night is blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night's election results."

"If we don't let them vote they can't beat us!"
Trump: "They're gonna make DC a state and they're gonna make Puerto Rico a state. So now they pick up two states, four senators. They're gonna pick up electoral votes. It's gonna be a very, very bad situation. Now, if we do what I'm saying, they'll most likely never obtain power."

NEW: Jury selection begins in the trial of sandwich guy today. The prosecutors are accusing him of "throwing a meat sandwich" at "point-blank range."

What?? Kavanaugh doesn't take No for an answer, won't respect other people's boundaries and is overly emotional??

If only thee was SOME way we could have known this!
Brett Kavanaugh's behavior during today's second oral arguments has been incredibly obnoxious and rude. He is so eager to kill a service member's lawsuit against a negligent government contractor that he keeps interrupting other justices, raising his voice, and getting emotional. Weird and erratic.

How it started, how it finished:

Last night we gave away
250 Rubber ducks
250 bubble wands
20 lbs candy
17 gallons of Hot Chocolate

"I remember this house from last year!" and "Is this the hot chocolate and duckie house??" were our 2 favorite things we heard this year.

I can't wait for next year!

That's not how it works. It's not how any of this works.
Trump: "I said, 'put it all into one bill and if we get it done, we're done for four years.' We don't need anything more from Congress."

Oh, shit. The nice guys were in charge at ICE and shit's going to get crazy. Fuuuuuuuck.
🚨BIG changes happening -- ICE leadership is being purged tonight. The old guard, which prioritized targeted enforcement operations aimed at people with criminal records, is being replaced with Border Patrol and Gregory Bovino's "Midway Blitz" style.

Think things are bad now? It'll get worse.

Your friendly reminder that Salvation Army is extremely homophobic. Also they brought a truck into Chicago to feed ICE agents to give them the energy to shoot more priests in the faces with paintballs. Many more worthy charities out there.
