Second swim of the week (trying to catch up on missing a few weeks) Unfortunately I think the massive slice of battenburg post swim has negated all the health benefits of cold water immersion #Seaham #Swimming #Cake

A morning swim to start the new week. We’ve missed a couple of weeks (not enough hours in the day) and the sea is now prickly cold. Still did a couple of widths 🥶😂 #Seaham #NovemberSwim

Putting one foot in front of the other is a win for me today. Taking Midge round East Park was the last thing I felt like doing this morning…….feel more like hibernating!

The “customers” next to us were a noisy bunch 🤣🤣 (they were after a sausage that was lurking on the floor 😂) #Starlings

Post swim bacon sandwich and hot drink in The Lookout at Seaham Marina. The sea was so calm and inviting this morning. Perfect dolphin watching conditions……..and sure enough we saw a large pod moving up and down past the harbour 🐬🐬

On #TerrierTuesday here is Midge cuddled up with best (only) friend Milo the Lab, in her favourite quilt and with her human bruvver #CuddleTime When we first got her she didn’t like being touched (stray dog) 🥹 she asks us to be cuddled and petted now 🤗 we get presented with the bit to be tickled 😂🥰

When spare time allows and conditions are suitable we find ourselves heading to Seaham for a swim at every opportunity. A bit of “us” time. Six months since we lost the MiL and we are still wrangling adult social care and probate issues #Seaham #SlopeBeach

It’s been ages since we had the opportunity to stroll along one of our local beaches. Gorgeous Saturday afternoon mooch along Easington beach. Pleased the steps had been dug out. Last time we tried to get down a land slip had covered them up!

Afternoon swim, The Slope, Seaham. Restorative mug of chai tea to warm up afterwards. And breathe 😎

I’m gardening round the front……..always watching 😂🐾 The husband has the wood stashed to make a new back gate. I have requested eyeholes suitable for humans that are 5ft 2 or 3 as a new model addition 😂 👀 #TheWorldOfMidge

Late finish this evening saw me running into Sainsburys to grab an oven tea……..look at the sky! 🤩 #Clouds #RedSkyAtNight #Sedgfield

For #TerrierTuesday I present Midge to you for your entertainment! More of a #TippyHead than a #TiltyHead 😂🐾 Usually means “what did you say” or “where we going” or “what are you eating” or “giz a bite” 😂😂

Was a good call to swim this morning! Well, I say swim but it was more of a dip really! 5 or 10 mins bouncing in the swell followed by a hot malty chocolate drink. Only about 4 feet of swell but some good ups and downs 😃

Seaham, pre Amy!

Took the dog for a walk over to Hardwick Park yesterday…….little did she know it was so we could leave her at home and go for for a peaceful evening swim 🤭😂 10 mins swim and a chippy tea……she was not happy after the sniff test was over on our return 😬🐾 #Clouds #Reflections #SeahamHarbour

Had an Autumn Equinox visit to Thornborough Henges yesterday. As we looked across at the central henge we thought there was an archaeological dig in progress. When we got there it was a Mabon celebration clearing away. A time of gratitude and balance. It felt special to be there 🍁🍂🎃🌾🍂🍁

Friday afternoon swim off Slope Beach, Seaham. Good job we went yesterday as it’s hoyed it down all day today (and we all know what Northumbrian Water will do now 💩)

Friday afternoon swim in my usual “pool” 🏊‍♀️ First time in a couple of months that we’ve had the sea to ourselves. While it’s been lovely sharing over the summer, the solitude was refreshing today 😎 Seaham, Slope Beach

We are back in our usual dog walking field after a week away from it all. Was lovely to have a break but have returned to navigate the problems that death, probate and adult social care throws at us. The people that should help continue to be obstructive. Charlatans and swindlers the lot of them.

Too much cloud looking east to see the moon. Looking to the north west the clouds were beautiful at 7.45pm
