Our dog has had a tough week that started off with a two-day stay in the vet ER. He's doing better now, but it's been an emotional roller coaster for my 8 yo in particular.

My toddler is in a real “I can do it“ phase and it’s great because what I need right now is for everything to take ten times longer and be a thousand times messier.

Every time I return to working on my novel, I'm delighted to find that I still have so much affection for these characters and am really glad to spend time with them again. Thank goodness since it feels like I'll be spending the rest of my life with them at the pace this writing is going.

If you’re a person who doesn’t want to do any work, AI is a great tool because it makes every program you use freeze and shut down so you can’t get anything done.

Apparently my 8yo & his friends, none of whom are allowed to stay up to watch the World Series, watch game highlights before school & then discuss & debate the best moments during lunch. I am utterly charmed by the image of these little dudes & their post-game breakdowns.
