Only right wing people are real. And that has always been true. Even the union members and activists were right wing, because they were in the olden days. In black and white and flat caps. The wokes don’t want you to know that. Of course. It makes sense now.

Very valuable thread on the impact of UKHE cuts and what we stand to lose through them.
I worked closely with the case study cited and wrote the Environment Template for that UoA.
We have all of us been in scope for redundancy since January. Where does that leave such important research?

What's lost when we lose staff, departments, programmes and faculties in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and what's that got to do with organ donation?
Amid the looming losses faced by Cardiff, Edinburgh, Lancaster, Leicester and Nottingham (among many others), here's a worked example. 1/8

Reform says Kent CC is their "shop window", where the country can see what a Farage gov't would be like.
Well... chaos, suspensions, defections, paralysis, zero "DOGE" savings, tax rises, and a leader making mad-dictator speeches, sounds about right. ~AA

How very depressing indeed. KCC is a case study of how this will go! Half the councillors have left or been sacked!

This is opposite my daughter's wonderful school, which also does so much for the community. I feel rage and devastation at it's closure. As if anyone needs reminding but Reform do not care about young people

I know, let's do a lovely little podcast discussing some of the issues shall we? That will sort it
Honestly, how do outlets keep looking at a sector in freefall, at 15,000 jobs lost, at maddening spikes in mental health concerns, and not think 'maybe we should hear from the people who actually care about that sector and what it does, and not just from those who've been wrecking it'?
🚨OUT NOW🚨 Are unis about to collapse? 🎓

OMG this is amazing
We have lots of student notebooks containing sketches on anatomy, diseases etc, however, this one is by far our favourite. It shows Joseph Lister, father of antiseptic surgery, disappearing through a trapdoor after his lecture in Glasgow in 1868. Now that's how to make an exit!

Exactly. Everything is always about these issues. Constantly. All the time
I keep seeing supposedly progressive podcasts saying “the problem is that people feel like they just can’t talk about these issues” while these issues are frequently the *only* thing that people are talking about 😩
Am struggling with the idea that people like me somehow don't understand the legitimate concerns of people who attended the Tommy Robinson march. I literally had National Front fliers through my letterbox in my childhood in Greater London and I went to school and university with actual fascists.
