Democratic socialist representing Assembly District 37 (Sunnyside, Ridgewood, LIC, Maspeth, Woodside). NYC-DSA + UAW forever🌹✊🏽 she/her
Today, I joined NYC DOT Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez, CM Julie Won + local leaders to cut the ribbon on the new 29th Street Plaza!

This reclaimed space, with a beautiful mural by CUNY student Fernanda Contreras, shows what's possible when we open streets, support artists and bring people together.

It is appalling that Netanyahu gets to speak at the UN as Gaza lies in ruins. Shame on complicit NY leaders who refuse to support a full weapons embargo, shame on Mayor Adams who stood with the Israeli delegation as world leaders had the moral clarity to walk out. Free Palestine.
A mass walkout of the UN General Assembly as Netanyahu prepares to speak.

🚲 What a kickoff! On Sunday, we launched our Protected Ride Sunnyside campaign with an 8-mile ride, spotlighting existing bike lanes and the dangerous gaps that leave riders unprotected.

Big thanks to @claireforqueens.bsky.social, @tstc.bsky.social, the Queens Borough President's office, and CB2!

Power to the People! No One is Illegal! ✊🏽

Today, I joined advocates and working-class New Yorkers in a peaceful act of civil disobedience to defend immigrant communities under attack across the country, state, and New York City. Here is my statement.

This weekend we joined the fun at the annual LIC Waterfront 5K! The community vibes were impeccable + the waterfront as beautiful as ever. Best part of all, every step the participants took supports local parks & free events through the Hunters Point Parks Conservancy. TY to HPPC for inviting me! 🌳🏃‍♂️

We have the resources to build the future we all deserve, we just need the political will to get it done.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday and made your voices heard. This week’s town hall was the first of many.

We're grateful to Assemblymember @claireforqueens.bsky.social for putting people over plastic in NY by co-sponsoring A1749, the Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act to reduce single-use packaging by 30%.

@speakercarlheastie.bsky.social, please bring this bill to the floor for a vote.

Our communities deserve transparency. This legislation is simple: utilities must give 45 days’ notice before major rate hikes. Yesterday, I was proud to pass my 45-Day Notice bill alongside colleagues to give NYers a bit of relief from unpredictable pricing and profiteering.

Proud to endorse Brad who has delivered time and time again for NYC’s working class as a Council Member and now as Comptroller.

Don’t rank Cuomo!
From solidarity with her @uaw.org local to standing up for her Queens neighbors, @claireforqueens.bsky.social shows up for working people & I'm grateful for her endorsement.

I'll be her partner in City Hall & a voice for workers’ rights, climate justice, tenant protections, public schools, & more.

Rainstorms shouldn't spell disaster for students. Yet as the climate crisis deepens and the need for bold action grows, NYC students are facing increasingly severe threats to their safety and future. 🧵

BREAKING: Cuomo just canceled his Ridgewood senior center photo op—just because families of his nursing home victims & healthcare workers want answers.

He doesn’t want to face the truth:
He caused deaths of 15k seniors.
He covered them up.
We’re not letting him rewrite history.

We need to pass speed limiters for repeat offenders (S4045/A2299) this session.

A&E owns 180 buildings with a total of 59,225 HPD code violations. Enough is enough. It’s time to hold them accountable. Our office is proud to stand with A&E tenants from Sunnyside and across the city in their fight against unjust evictions and for basic housing repairs.
