What the US is experiencing right now is fascism. There's no other word for it and pretending that it's verboten to say so diminishes the truth as much as they are diminishing the truth. It's fascism. It's arrived.

@joshmatlow.bsky.social so what happened?!? I go out west to be with my palliative mother for 2+ months and come back to find parking on Highbourne to have doubled in price. That is gouging!!! Especially as I took my office here 8 years ago because the eglinton line 5 was to open shortly!
