My dad was, by definition, Antifa. He landed on D-day at Juno beach. The entire world opposing the Axis then was anti-fascist. I believe we honor the memories of all those who fought as a reminder of what it really means to be “Antifa”.

These are the hero’s in my mind we fly the flag at half mast for today. I still see their faces speeding by on the trucks as my children and I fled their school. Trying to get their gear on while hanging on to ladders and pumper trucks with one hand. Racing to, not away. You are remembered.

Happy Mothers Day to all moms. Missing my special mama who left far too soon in life. In her time with me she managed to instill all the qualities I cherish being a mom. Not least of which is the gift of communication. Ma you are always carried in my heart as the beautiful soul you were. ❤️
