It’s a lot of fun, the effects are actually pretty good and the action is entertaining and the story is… crazy but fun.

For someone who 5 years ago was non verbal, to see him be able to articulate how he sees his brain, how he feel, what he processes, it broke me in the best way possible.

I sat beside her as she laid in the hospital bed, and told her how much she meant to me, and thanked her for everything. I just sat with her for an hour and a half talking about how much she meant to my life. None of the other family could make it there today.

Today was hard. The nurses called me (they couldn’t reach my dad) to let me know she is non responsive and hasnt eaten. She’s been in rough shape all month but she fought to stay alive until her body yesterday, I got her balloons and my kids made a card.

I did everything I could to pay her back after I graduated, shovelling her driveway, helping with Christmas prep, taking her to appointments. When my dad kicked me out, she didn’t judge me and understood, and when k got my own place, I’d stop by every other week to have dinner with them.

Which is another thing I really thank her for. She did a lot to support me through school, and not just financially.

2. My dad kept trying to get a company off the ground, and he once told me if it didn’t he’d have to get a job to help pay for my university. It didn’t, and he didn’t. If it wasn’t for student loans and my grandmother (I was also working over the summer) I wouldn’t have been able to go.

I’ll write more another time, but the reason I started this is she is she’s 94, and is currently non responsive in the hospital, the nurses saying she may go any day now. I just wanted people to know what she meant to me, an the impact she had on my life

Them with me of course, in my room at her house I had a tv/vcr combo, so I’d spend days locked in there just watching and absorbing movies. She was a huge reason I wanted to study film.

Every time I stayed at her place, she never cared what videos I rented, which was nice. I could see films like Eyes Wide Shut, Fight Club, The Pianist, movies tha my dad wouldn’t let me see for one reason or another when I was a teenager, and it helped grow my movie education. She wouldn’t watch

She just talked to me, asked me why, and when I told her (I just wanted to get lunch at school like the other kids), she would skip $5 a week in a pack of gum for me to have.

Next day, got everything I needed for school, and even drove an hour and a half to my high school for orientation. My dad took me back to his place a couple days later, but I honestly never forgave him for that. I stole money from my dad’s wallet, and when he caught me, my grandmother didn’t judge

The weekend before I was to start high school, my dad kicked me out of the car and told me I can stay with my grandma and not with him. They had a fight about something, and although my dad wasn’t mad at me he took it out at me. I had no clothes or anything with me, so she took me shopping the…

Summer with them, which were usually my favourite times of the year. When we’d see her on Christmas Eve (my family was German so we’d do the dinner and presents on the eve), seeing her house all decorated up always made me smile as a kid.

1. When my mom left my dad and I, I was 5 and we stayed with my grandparents for a few years. She’d take me to and from school a lot, and make me lunch all the time. When my dad couldn’t she’d always put me to bed. When we left I would always spend Christmas, March Break, and a couple weeks in the…

Glad you enjoyed it! It’s honestly one of my favourite movies and I watch it every Halloween season.

Also if you liked it, give Krampus a shot, same director and its a similar vibe (but a little funnier in a twisted way)
