A century ago, Charles Lindbergh was the most famous man in the world, the pilot who first flew New York to Paris in 33 hours. Today, I am looking at his Maui grave. His companions in eternal rest are not fellow American heroes. No, they are apes named Kippy, George, and Keiki.
Where the Original ‘America First’ Leader Went to Die

@stephenrodrick.bsky.social visits Charles Lindbergh’s gravesite, recalling parallels with the man who picked up Lindbergh’s nativist scepter, Donald Trump.

"Russia has never had, does not have, and will never have any desire to attack anyone" -- Putin in Beijing.

He simply keeps mocking all those who, for 25 years, have bent over backwards for this petty creature, tiptoeing around him in fear and granting full license to his megalomania and sadism.

This is the most disrespectful behavior by a press member to a head of state I have ever seen. Disgraceful!
GLENN: Why don't you wear a suit? You're at the highest level in this country's office & you refuse to wear a suit. A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the office.

ZELENSKYY: I will wear a costume after this war will finish. Maybe something like yours. Maybe something better.

I live in MAGA country. When I talk about what Musk is doing to the federal programs he is stripping of funding and employees, I get the same response:

“He’s just pausing programs to find waste. No one will lose their job or grant or subsidy.”

I wish I could say I'm shocked. Even with the foresight of a first administration, Felonious Liar seems no more prepared now than they were in 2016. Conversely, he could be throwing tons of crap against the wall, thinking some of it will stick ...

Nahh, they didn't think through it.

There’s a lot of disinformation about DEI. There is no illegal discrimination occurring. DEI involves outreach to under-represented groups in hiring to improve the diversity of perspectives serving in government, support to retain them, and training to help public servants serve all Americans.

Four years since the attempted coup. What can you say at this point? We live in an embarrassing country, surrounded by unthinkable material prosperity but angrier & dumber all the time, tearing ourselves apart for effectively no reason. It's just sad.
