We swing through two states and three family get-togethers at Christmas, so I feel like we have earned a quiet holiday without traffic the month before. Small business catering, local wine and charcuterie, a nearby town playground, it all makes me truly appreciate where I live and who I live with.

Glow in the dark shirts at Halloween are still very much a thing for boys, as I’ve just come out of another cycle of “look at this mom!” for a month straight 😂.

I read recently about how a restaurant group is buying up all of the places in a touristy area near me and now everything is the same and void of all personality. The person didn’t use the word “enshittification” but that is the only way to describe it.

Right? A family member heard about a friend’s kid *once* at a fancy private who could pay extra for their laundry to be done and that has been stuck in their brain as a universal offering ever since!
