@kuow.org #soundside I was at City Hall & SPD was protecting the 1st amendment rights of the church group, not the counter protesters. SPD was actively intimidating and arresting counter protesters, who were mostly teenagers. I don’t believe they were out to protect everyone’s right to protest.

Anyone who thinks there is anti-Christian bias in this country, but has no concern about Islamophobia, needs to take a deep look into their own biases.

The attempt to close the Department of Education is entirely motivated by white supremacy. First: remove protections for BIPOC candidates in admissions and jobs, then queer rights, now equal treatment of ALL girls and the disabled. They are creating a system that puts & keeps white men on top.

Finally watched Conclave and started sobbing when it ended. I guess a movie about faith, doubt, human ambition, failure, hope, and all of that wrapped up in religious institutions that also so often fail but sometimes succeed to be places of divine revelation (even on accident) speak to me.
