Americans have a right to a government that works for them and not as a means to enrich elected officials. I have 2 proposals that will help restore confidence in a government that works for all the people and not just for the 537 elected officials who occupy the White House and the Capitol.

Not all Trump enablers and apologists are pro-sex trafficking.

Some are merely anti-anti-sex trafficking.

“The much more worrisome issue is that the president of the United States thinks it is acceptable to use ballistic-missile submarines like toys, objects to be waved around when he wants to distract the public or deflect from bad news, or merely because some Russian official has annoyed him.”
Trump has initiated a new era in which the chief executive can use threats regarding the most powerful weapons on Earth to salve his ego and improve his political fortunes. Once upon a time, America was governed by serious people. No longer.

You nailed it. He doesn't think strategically. He just reacts.
the thing is this is like the third thing I've heard a theory of this being a distraction for and I think we need to start accepting the fact none of these are distractions, he's just this distracted because his brain is bread pudding

Yes, both political parties have issues, but there’s no comparison between the two. The Republican Party is a REAL threat to freedom, democracy, the rule of law, & basic human decency. The Democratic Party is too elitist and just plain wrong on some issues.

NO comparison.

Yes. News orgs are credulously reporting that sending troops into a US city is a political winner for Trump. Axios actually said this could be a winning "spectacle" for him. But this isn't necessarily a "winner," and it's disgusting to give this lawlessness the aura of conventional politics.
Any time press coverage slips from what happened and why, into "political strategy," and especially when it tries to show us a clever or winning strategy that may have eluded our senses... Any time that happens we are entitled to doubt it, as Greg Sargent does here.
