Pittsburgh—unlike many other US cities—provides homeless people "credible offers" for long-term housing before sweeping encampments, rather than kicking people out & placing them in emergency shelters, which are often dangerous & inadequate. It's an interesting program other cities might consider:

Going to Florida for a few days next week. Worried that I could be harassed in bathrooms. I’m going to have to LARP as a gender conforming person and I feel anxious thinking about it. There are certain parts of my appearance I can’t exactly fake without expensive prosthetics.

All my friends irl get upset when I discuss anything political. Not because they disagree with me, but because they all are resigned to being complacent. To the point that they all shrug when I say I don’t want MY head buried in the sand. They say they can’t do anything, &so they’d rather not know.

As a trans person, I love it so much that many of the mail carriers delivering in my neighborhood are clearly trans. I get so excited when I hear a high pitched voice calling out at my door and I open it to a very masc person with my package.
