Thanks Laurens. I always forget that my Insta posts don’t automatically cross post here too. I’ll put a post here now

They’re decent units, and certainly more feasible as a retail camera for me than using donor Instax cameras. The development can be a little uneven if you wind too fast but they’re definitely good enough.

I’ve built cameras around both their Mini and Square development units, but haven’t got to the point of being happy to release them. I did order a Wide development unit the other night though, so will be trying again with that!

I haven’t got the negatives back yet, but the spacing looks decent on the wrist individual scanned frames. I need to get my diptych practice in now.

Thanks. They were all a bit rushed but I really like the new setup, especially as I can shoot both 6x6 and 24x56 with interchangeable backs

Thanks Michael. I’m hoping to actually finish the roll over Christmas so will be able to share some results in the new year.

The tank is only 18mm thick and 114mm wide, making it very compact and easy to store. Whilst it stands up on its’ own, there is also a separate slot-in base for added stability.

The tank now has a friction fit lid with double TPU (rubber) seals to keep it watertight. The sheet caddy is now much easier to load and I’ve added a slot-in retainer for a small wipeable pad so you can make notes about the dev times etc.

I’m sending out this beta camera to a photographer in the USA after Christmas, with a cone for their 150mm Rodenstock and a pack of film envelopes, so it will be great to see their feedback and results. I also assembled what looks like the final dev tank yesterday.

As with all of the miniature cameras I’ve built for my Secret Santa’s, i’d love to keep it for myself, so I hope my match likes it too 👍🏻

The camera has all the same features as the full size version; including removable 6x6 (well, 3x3!) film back, darkslide, slot in film caddy, Mamiya Press lens mount and ground glass!

2. One off half-scale Six:6-SWC camera for my @EmulsiveSanta Secret Santa match. I started building these miniature cameras several years ago, and have previously built an Advanced45, SnapShot, CubePan and Six17, so decided to go full-modular this year.

So long as you cut a piece of film, or paper, into a circle (in the dark) to fit inside the base of the cup you could 👍🏻

You load standard 4x5 sheets but each sheet envelope is only 6mm thick, and considerably lighter, than a standard double 4x5 holder. As a result, it’s easier to pack/carry more sheets.
