When I was a kid, the problem with the internet was Discovery. Given enough time I could easily lose myself in sites about all kinds of topics but, more often than not, searching would lead me to the same circle of sites within any given topic.

They're talking about 7-15 inches (18-38cm) of snow by Tuesday here. If it pans out it will be the most snow I've seen since I was a kid. Not looking forward to it, but also grateful I won't have to leave our building this week.

20 years ago today I drove away from our first place together as we began our move to Maui. I spent 3 days driving the car to Long Beach to ship it out and flew out myself a couple of days later.

I can’t believe it’s been 20 years.

I'm grateful today is our Friday at work. It's been a strangely long week for me and an extra day to recuperate will be incredibly helpful.

Attending BSides Chicago today and happy to hear the orgs talk about how they still strive for diversity here. I was definitely happy to hear that considering the state of the world this year.
