If socialism was good enough for Harry Truman, surely it is good enough for House Democrats and at least some of the GOP?

I mean, I’m not really surprised by this vote to condemn “socialism” but it is still upsetting. Sadly, it is the American people that will learn about what it means to do this.

This is a jail.

I expected more out of a “compassionate” MB NDP government.

As someone that has volunteered with Gifts of Grace through the Main St Project & those experiencing addictions downtown for 14 years, I am appalled at these conditions in the new detox center. I’m not alone in my opinion

Some hard truths here in this letter by a UofW colleague. There is indeed a perfect storm of problems in higher ed in MB. Chronic underfunding is one of them.

For those of you living with anxiety about the state of the world: (advice I should follow myself)

These are not normal times.
You are enough and it is normal to be exhausted by *gestures wildly*
This, too, shall pass. But we might have to fight for what good there is left in the world. Hold fast.

I am so in love with my wife. We have built a beautiful family together. We have supported eachother through a pandemic, the death of a child, cancer(s), politics, and whatever life has thrown at us. 10 years together this December.
