Software developer (mostly Java). I blether about:
- dev and tech
- politics, from a Scottish perspective
- cycling as transport
- learning Hungarian
- slice of life stuff

I’ll probably mention Star Trek and Sonic the Hedgehog more than I really should.
ADO has its quirks but I am _longing_ for that menu on the left that had Code, Commits, Branches, Tags, Pull Requests, _all right there_ and not shotgun-blasted all over the interface like GitHub seems to do it.

I've been asked whether Algernon Goldfish might have done it. While he was just the kind of fishy character who might have attempted a crime on this scale, he was struck off the register after I wrote the article, which left him floundering. At the time he was almost the only operator who had been.

I’m old enough to remember when the BBC used old footage of Johnson at the cenotaph, to cover the fact that he was hung over and looked like a burst mattress on a tip.
The DG didn’t resign though

I wonder if Jesus played the invisible accordion like Trump does when he speaks? It would certainly explain why they felt the need to nail his hands to a bit of wood.

Is she not the one who also says we will always need oil and gas? And yet she wants to use it up as quickly as possible?

I have it on DVD. It’s the Australian release as it wasn’t available in the UK at the time. The fact that it’s region 4 and my DVD player won’t (easily) play it is an excellent excuse to never watch it again.

I guess once you’ve wrestled a bathtub up to the third floor via a medieval spiral staircase, the masonry-based solution for the fourth floor starts to look very appealing
