No evidence. No due process. I am warning you now that this is a “test case” to see what they can get away with. If you don’t care because you think it doesn’t affect you - it does, and it will. This is how rule of law is eroded. They start with vulnerable populations and expand out.

JUST IN: It was not immediately clear if the deportations happened before or after a federal judge in D.C. on Saturday issued an emergency order that told the administration to stop using wartime powers to deport anyone, and turn around any planes already in the air.

AOC should announce a primary against Schumer tonight.

This is exactly right. They don’t get to enjoy concerts or restaurants or anything while they destroy the country.
JD Vance just got massively booed after arriving at the Kennedy Center.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

Donald Trump signed a bunch of executive orders rolling back abortion protections in the middle of the night, hoping that no one would notice.

This is — and always has been — about controlling women’s bodies. I’m fighting back.

When I was in law school I took a seminar called Presidential Powers that examined the expansion of Executive power through the 20th/21st century. We talked frequently about the danger of Congress doing this. Six years ago. In LAW SCHOOL. Most of them are lawyers. They know what they’re doing.
This. Especially Senate Republicans.
The greatest political scandal today is not what Trump is doing. It is the fact that congressional Republicans have given up their role in the constitutional system as a check on the executive branch. If we are in a constitutional crisis, it is as much on Mike Johnson and John Thune as anyone else.

Trump *also* seems to think those he casts as destroying the Country violate the Law by their very being. Trump calls immigrants from Latin America, Asia, and Africa “illegals.” Trump frames queer people as “groomers.” 1/2

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too.

EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them.

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

How about…because he knew RFK Jr. would get confirmed anyway, and therefore his sudden development of personal integrity wouldn’t matter for shit. You don’t get to play saint or martyr when you’re a chief architect of this entire dystopia we’re in right now. Too little, too late.

Literally only 5 years after a global pandemic hit. This has got to be the dumbest timeline. Grateful I don’t have children.
Putting RFK Jr. in charge of the nation’s public health is a huge mistake.

When dangerous diseases resurface and people can’t access lifesaving vaccines, all Americans will suffer — and RFK Jr.’s family could keep getting richer thanks to his serious conflicts of interest.

The AP must refuse this but more importantly the rest of the White House Correspondents Association should back them.

Boycott the press briefings until they relent, and if they refuse, walk out. There is no real use to them in any case.

Trump craves attention. Deny him that and he’ll cave.
"Today we were informed by the White House that if AP did not align its editorial standards with President Donald Trump’s executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America, AP would be barred from accessing an event in the Oval Office."
