Started rewatching Leverage as my "chill, wind-down before bed" show. Seeing evil rich people face some consequences is the fantasy I need right now.

Cobra Kai is cheesy as heck, and I Cannot Stop Watching.

Every few months like clockwork, these eugenicist, child abusing nazis show up getting glamorous glow up profiles in national media. Insane how astroturfed this stuff is.

I am watching Practical Magic for the 8000th time and eating a fresh scone with raspberry jam. Enjoy the little things.

Hard to overstate just how much of the tech industry’s horrifically dystopian present grew right out of its transparently misogynistic past

Doing a quiet Christmas because family is complicated -- play some Diablo, watch movies -- but I am baking biscuits to go with my husband's sausage gravy, playing my favorite Christmas album, and there is eggnog in my coffee. Festive enough. 🎄

PREACH!
Everything tells a story. Nothing is extraneous.
Yeah ok, I’m doing this.

Here is some advice for aspiring game writers.

Do not come into games wanting to be a game writer with the attitude that all you are going to write are the cinematics.

Fact: a game’s story is not about the cinematics.

I would watch another 100 seasons of Somebody Somewhere. But if it has to end, that was a good ending.

I worship this movie. Every line, every look... masters of the art cutting one another apart with words.
finally watched a lion in winter (1968) and it was magnificent all over but timothy dalton's *first movie* as this sexy bitchy drama king of france was absolutely incredible. and katherine hepburn and peter o'toole my god

THIS. Help people. It will be needed. And help is remembered.
I know many do, but EVERY elected Democrat should be doing this. Every local Democratic Party office should be doing this.
Happy Thanksgiving week, everyone. We’ve been spending the last few days addressing food insecurity across NYC.

Shout out to our supporters, small-dollar contributors, and volunteers who make all this happen and help us support similar efforts across the country.

I am really grateful. ♥️ Thank you

I am deep into Veilguard and was very happy with my run so far. Then I watched my husband play for a bit and someone tell me not to reroll as a warrior. That kicking looks hella fun.

A friend convinced me to watch Hundreds of Beavers. So Good. Elements of Chaplin and Keaton, Looney Toons, noobs in survival games, and YouTube videos made for the lol. Bizarre, creative, and delightful.

I've been thinking about this poem by Langston Hughes recently and although it was published in 1931, it remains relevant as ever.

Trying to bake through the madness, so I picked a recipe I hadn't made from my old BH&G cookbook.
Now I have half a tray of dough rolled in chopped walnuts, and the power just went out.

A very distracted but still tasty loaf from Johnny Silverdough, the sourdough starter.
Maybe I left the first bulk ferment on the counter too long, or not enough stretch and folds?

Please. This.
I'm in rapid detox -- I'm done with the outrage bait. Not giving it any more of my time or attention.
Also moving away from MSM, as much as it pains me as a former journalist. Looking for more sources doing the kind of reporting we need -- recommendations are appreciated!
one thing I'd like very much for this platform over the next four years is if we could maintain this healthy habit of not sharing every stupid bit of outrage engagement bait farted out by contrarian right wing engagement trolls and irrelevant white supremacists
