An important point getting overlooked:

When NIH cancels "diversity" grants (e.g., diversity supplements, Fs, Ks, etc), they aren't canceling the grants based on *what* the grant studies.

They're cancelling them based on *who* is doing the research. And that disallowed "who" is anyone not white.

Per a source with knowledge, for all internal research (of which there is like $10 billion worth or so), ALL purchasing shut down as of yesterday.

That means gloves, reagents, anything involved with lab work, which means a lot of that work will stop.

An email obtained by NPR says NIH employees are subject to a travel freeze and offers of employment are being rescinded. Scientists worry about disruptions to critical research.
