Mayor Bass: This morning, it was frightening in Los Angeles to see tanks essentially rolling into MacArthur Park.

It was an egregious show of force. I have no idea what their purpose was. I don’t even think they detained anyone.

Los Angeles was peaceful before June 5. We need to go back to that.

There's a very specific type of sadness that stems from a loved one removing themselves from your life because they don't know how to interact with you after YOU have been through trauma and grief.
It's valid, but it's a magnified loss.

The trauma

of my dad's accident.
of loss.
of being in the middle.
of being made to feel inadequate in all ways.
of a half-lived life.

And then there's

the atrocities going on all over the world & in our government.

everyone else's pain.

It is too much

Trying to watch Revenge of the Sith with my dad, but I am way too anxious. It's just too ... ::waves arms around::

One thing that still seems unfathomable is the deep rift that can develop amongst loved ones after a tragedy. In my case, my dad's accident. We are all dealing with CPTSD, grief, and devastation. We are all broken. (1/?)

I've been thinking lot about the guy who knocked hard on my car window shortly after I got in causing me to scream. He said "somebody must'a really scared you, huh?"

Somebody else, some other time. Definitely not you though, right?
