Played him in to the Welsh national anthem for his heritage, played him out to Come Fly With Me as a nod to his job at the airport, and gave him fruit for his onward journey per his Buddhist beliefs. Unattended but still lovely 🧡
Selfie with my funeral director. She and all the bearers wore orange ties for him. Sun breaking through out the crematorium window where you can also see the pool of water outside. Candle, incense, buddha statue and basket of fruit set up beside the catafalque. Orange and yellow flowers on his coffin and 5 apples placed by celebrant, myself and the funeral directors.

Sun made it feel like summer again yesterday. Plunge pool brought me back to earth.

Got up and ready, put on my new jumper (thanks @davecakes.bsky.social), signed 4 books in Hastings Waterstones (heads up locals) and went to a sauna on the pier. Nice Saturdaying.
