When someone gave me a compliment, I used to brush it off with some levity. "It was nothing." "Anyone would do that." Or make a self-deprecating joke.

This wasn't modesty, it was because I was uncomfortable accepting the compliment. Now I try to accept the compliment and say thank you.

I think about this point by @bennstancil.bsky.social whenever I see a new AI approach, _especially_ in healthcare, that will automate an adversarial process (same for job applications).

It’s not a technology problem and so the arms race continues
