Cares about politics. Elitist asshole about bands and clothes and books. Writing a novel about this election happening right now. Publishing it on beehiiv: https://swamp.beehiiv.com/
Yeah I did too. Weird how when you see him for the first time it’s like “oh, okay. Makes perfect sense now.”

Sometimes I wonder how much of what we do is what we learned “people do” based on tv/film approximating human interactions and discussion to meet the needs of fiction and visual medium

Some real Jackie Treehorn notepad ass shit here

Disagree. Jeffries’ team was actively mocking Mamdani and his supporters as “team gentrification” *after* the primary. Fuck that guy. No defense of Schumer, but even relatively Jeffries is hardly better. I also can’t think of a single bill or cause Jeffries ever had a big win on

Retweeting cause, honestly, it’s gonna hit so much better without any context

New York City baby, the crown jewel in the American empire! The worldwide epicenter of finance, art, and pop culture! We put our trash directly on the street for the rats! We love the rats and worship them as gods!

Until the day they’re up against a wall and just decide that any non-GOP Congressperson is de facto illegitimate and they owe them no recognition. Fingers crossed we don’t get there!

Yeah; my guess would be Johnson tries to figure out some way to hold the vote before swearing in Grijalva or otherwise allow the vote without letting it pass—not knowledgeable enough about procedure and rules to game out how but I think playing games with swearing in will become a norm…

But… did you?

Someone call Waid and Morrison—what Bond needs is a little bit of the ol’ Hypertime juice
This reminds me of DC comics in the 90s; rigorous and increasingly bizarre attempts to “right” the continuity, so every five years the entire universe is in there because some writer somewhere wanted to use the super dog but technically he didn’t exist anymore
November 11, 2025 at 12:31 PM
Waid and Morrison walking David Zaslz through the concept of hyper time while getting increasingly sweatier and James Gunn is right outside their conference room just waiting to swoop in
November 11, 2025 at 12:29 PM
“The entire universe is in peril” was what I meant… anyways, I like to imagine the long meetings of Mark Waid and Grant Morrison coming up with “hyper time” which is basically an in-universe shrug to continuity snarls

He’s just not gonna do that.

I mean, whatta I know, but based on the last, uh, 17 years I think when the GOP is in a position where some protocol or tradition demands they do something that harms them they just ignore protocol and tradition

Cmon man, he was up all night nose to the grindstone of eating shit

Hey man, it’s gonna be your last fucking term whether you decide that or it gets decided for you. Time to start thinking about how bad you’re gonna be remembered and maybe try and turn that around

Is this some kinda cry for help? Does Bezos have them tied to keyboards, somewhere? Soaked in kerosene while he plays with a zippo?

On my last shift I overheard a bunch of DSAers talking about the local branches and a guy piped up that he was from a Florida chapter. He had come to NYC on his own dime to organize
November 5, 2025 at 3:09 PM
His message discipline was incredible but mostly I think the consulting/pundit class hasn’t put together that’s it’s the product of actual organizing—debating theory and method and persuading people and trusting your audience and… all products of organizing
