Chris' RacCoons
@chrisraccoons.bsky.social
We're a gaze (hence they/them) of shitposting raccoons originally on Twitter to mock Chris Coons. #AnimalCaucus.
Our jokes are meant to amuse us, but they COULD amuse you, too. Who can say?

If you recognize us, no you don't (please).
Not entirely sure what bubble.blue is doing, but we're in company that's far too good for us.

(This is the "Last Month" version.)

And the fabric for 8 place mats is done. #weaving

For those who have watched our complex #weaving videos and found them slow or stressful, here's something a bit more straightforward. Making ~6 yards of cloth to make place mats.

When you see a piece of tuna that looks this good, you've got to make a nice dinner.

We hadn't been to a high school in a while (spouse's orchestra is performing at one). This banner is.... something?

Catered is usually more expensive than off-the-menu, but that's an utterly crazy number at an Embassy Suites. Or,

The treadling, in case anyone is curious about a skeleton tieup.
October 21, 2025 at 12:37 AM
This is the pattern for 1 full repeat (which is the video). It's 30 picks (passes of the shuttle).
October 20, 2025 at 1:46 AM
The pattern is set by treadles that are operated with feet. This pattern uses a "skeleton tieup," meaning generally 2 are pressed down for each pass of the yarn.

The delays are where I'm looking at my feet to make sure I'm getting the right ones.

It's a #weaving video for those with 3 minutes to spare. (It's a bit repetitive, and there's no prize for watching the whole thing.)
